The much awaited NCF Tigers training pool was recently completed after its construction was halted by the COVID-19 pandemic. At the opening of the NCF@74 celebration on March 5, 2021, it was blessed by Fr. Godofredo Rueda, school chaplain. President Mario C. Villanueva warmly welcomed the invited guests which included Naga City Mayor Nelson Legacion, CamSur Lending Center head Mr. Ariel Pena, NCF alumni association president Mr. Joselito del Rosario, and DBP representatives Mr. Emmanuel Gagalac and Ms Diana May Ricero.
Located near the basketball court along the Penafrancia area of the NCF campus, the 4-lane training pool, measuring 12.5 meters by 25 meters, and 5-6 feet deep, is equipped with Jacuzzi and a viewing deck for lifeguards. It was conceptualized to support the physical education courses in swimming of the College of Health Sciences, and water survival of the College of Criminal Justice Education, as well as for the Tigers swimming team.
