An accumulated number of 34 teams from the categories of grade school, junior high school, senior high school, and tertiary joined in the academic quiz competition termed “Tigers Cup 2023” on March 3, 2023, at The Quad.
Each team has impressively exhibited their academic prowess, particularly in five learning areas, namely, Mathematics, Sciences, Social Studies, English, and Filipino, as well as in the history and profile of Naga College Foundation, Inc. (NCF)โ€”an evident manifestation of the quality education that is continuously being dispensed by NCF.
After knocking out their three opponents in the grade school category, Eulian Jiro P. Pariรฑas, Arlan Vince B. Gonzales, and Victor Xian J. Marasigan seized the championship title.
Despite earning minimal points during the preliminary round, the team of Xavier Carillo, Ira May Napili, Marijo Dela Cruz, and John Augustine Alimood of the junior high school category prevailed over the three contenders after gaining a sufficient number of correct answers for the average and final rounds.
Daphne Gabrielle Competente, Annelexa Charlize Azul, and Jazmine Bascuรฑa swept off their eleven rivals and led the senior high school category of the academic quiz competition.
Meanwhile, in a four-round battle, the representatives from the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS), namely, Karl Vincent Suayan, Karen Mae Celso, and Lovely De Jesus, ruled over the competition after defeating the thirteen teams of various collegiate departments for the tertiary education category.
As a reward for their academic achievements, NCF granted a 100%, 75%, 50%, and 25% tuition discount for the first placer, second placer, third placer, and fourth placer for each category, respectively.
Furthermore, all tuition discounts are effective for one academic year only (academic year 2023-2024) upon the enrollment of the participants.
