Today, January 6, 2023, marks the 116th birth anniversary of the founder and first president of today’s leading academic institution and school of choice – Dr. Melchor Trinidad Villanueva, Sr.

Fired up with his commitment and dedication to dispense “quality and affordable education” to the Bicolanos, he established Naga Teachers College in 1947, which was later called the Naga College Foundation, Inc. (NCF).

NCF, as Lolo Mel’s living legacy, unceasingly adheres to its mandate of transforming well-rounded individuals and leaders who will create sustainable contributions to various facets and disciplines, both in the national and international arena.

Moreover, Lolo Mel’s exceptional achievements and contributions to education and community are worthy of emulation by the present and future generations.

Happy 116th birthday, Lolo Mel!
