𝗜𝗖𝗬𝗠𝗜 | The Quality Assurance Office sponsored the College General Faculty Orientation on January 17, 2023, at the ST Auditorium, to keep the NCF educators abreast of “better normal” education through the discussion of the recent policy of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), revised guidelines for online and in-person classes (the Flex50 program), updates on Google Workspace, and the faculty attendance policy, as the second semester of the academic year 2022-2023 is set to commence next week.
In her welcome remarks, Dr. Aida P. Osea, Vice President for Academic Affairs, highlighted the significance of the orientation, particularly the discussions on the Flex50 program, as it saved the “ship (NCF) from sinking during the times of the pandemic.” Additionally, she also reiterated the integral role of the educators to make “NCF remains afloat and moves toward the north star.”
Meanwhile, Mr. Mario C. Villanueva, NCF President, promulgated the 2023 institutional policy named “NCF Open House,” which aims to develop the institution into a center of excellence, happiness, and comfort where stakeholders can consider NCF their second home. He also informed the faculty members about NCF’s firsts in 76 years of providing quality and affordable education to Filipinos.
Ms. Sheila E. Balid-Bordado, Quality Assurance Director and Assistant Vice President for Academic Affairs, Mr. Joseph Manansala, Senior Programmer of the Technology Resource Center, and Ms. Teenarose O. Castroverde, Vice President for Administrative and Institutional Affairs, served as the resource speakers and shed light on matters concerning the recent policy of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), revised guidelines for online and in-person classes (Flex50 program), updates on Google Workspace, and the faculty attendance policy, respectively.
