𝗠𝗖𝗩 𝗕𝗨𝗟𝗟𝗘𝗧𝗜𝗡│With an aim to set the bar higher, Naga College Foundation, Inc. (NCF) tied up with the MechaniWeb, Inc. to enhance the students’ higher education applications and resumes by providing evidence of competency and proficiency through the AutoDesk and Adobe Education Programs.
On Saturday, November 26, 2022, Mr. Mario C. Villanueva, NCF President, and Engr. Jomarc E. Baquiran, Technical Training Manager of MechaniWeb, Inc. inked the Memorandum of Agreement
on the implementation of the AutoDesk Education Program, Adobe Education Program, and the Microsoft Certification Examinations, intended for the colleges of Engineering (COE) and Computer Studies (CCS)— most particularly the Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering (BSCpE) program.
MechaniWeb, Inc. is a social enterprise engaged in the promotion of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEaM), which also supports Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software users up to their career and business access.
Eyeing to establish an excellent startup of sustainable partnership, the MechaniWeb, Inc. is expected to provide hands-on support to integrate professional design software into the curricula, easily access licensed AutoDesk software, create appropriate training materials, assist students and educators assess and validate their skills through industry-recognized certifications, and connect students to industry, partners, and each other through competitions and community engagement, among others.
NCF, on the other hand, is set to integrate Fusion 360 in the curriculum being AutoDesk’s powerhouse Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software, implement AutoDesk User and Professional Certifications and Adobe Certifications to confirm that their students have the skills necessary to continue their design careers, establish an official AutoDesk Club/Organization that will serve as an avenue for collaboration and fellowship among the institution’s Student Experts and all Student Experts around the world— wherein the said organization will be given an ample workspace for them to efficiently execute its mission and vision for the AutoDesk Education— NCF advocacy, and serve as the Certification Center for all AutoDesk and Adobe products around Naga City.
President Villanueva also shared his thoughts on expanding the partnership with MechaniWeb, Inc. as NCF endeavors to Education Extension Programs that will facilitate economic development through workforce training, ensuring healthy communities, and enriching the lives of individuals through a variety of experiences.
Moreover, Ms. Sheila E. Balid-Bordado, Assistant Vice President for Academic Affairs and Director of the Quality Assurance Office and Ms. Anna Loretta C. Romulo, Acting Dean of CCS also affixed their signature to the memorandum while Mr. Proceso P. Capagas, Director of Technology Resource Center, Engr. Cecille B. Roja, former Program Chairperson of the BSCpE, and a representative from MechaniWeb, Inc. acted as witnesses.
