A total of twelve research papers were presented during the one-day research colloquium, which was attended by members of the faculty of instruction, non-teaching personnel (NTP), and undergraduate students from various academic
colleges on March 2, 2023, at ST Auditoriumโas one of the highlights of the 76th founding anniversary of Naga College Foundation, Inc. (NCF).
To ensure that the Annual Research Colloquium maintained its commitment to the keynote of the celebration, the researchers from both faculty and NTP centered their papers on curriculum relevance, moral development, the Flex50 program, as well as studentsโ study skills and attitudes.
For the category of faculty members, Ms. Anna Loretta C. Romulo, Dean of the College of Computer Studies (CCS), won as the Best Presenter in her paper, “Curriculum Relevance and Manifestation of the Core Values of the Institution in the Graduateโs Professional Conduct.” The paper of Dr. Eymard Z. Gomez, a faculty member of the College of Criminal Justice Education (CCJE), entitled “Quality of Life of Police Retirees,” won as the Best Paper.
Meanwhile, a research anent to the “Strategies to Increase Market Share of Naga College Foundation among Graduates in Public High Schools in Naga City” by Mr. Joel Villanueva, Assistant Vice President for Institutional Marketing and Public Relations Office, won as the Best Paper for the NTP category. On the other hand, Mr. Son Reburiano won as the Best Presenter for his paper, “Study Skills and Attitudes as Correlated to the Academic Performance of Senior High School Students.”
Included in the twelve total research papers presented were the eight research papers written and presented by undergraduate students from the colleges of Business and Management (CBM), Computer Studies (CCS), Criminal Justice Education (CCJE), and Accountancy and Finance (CAF) on the Third Student Multidisciplinary Research Colloquium.
Lyka De la Concepcion, Reynaldo Asico Jr., Mary Joy Espiritu, Ronnie Luzon, and Rica Malaa, CBM students, in their paper, “Customer Satisfaction of the Products and Services of Tigerโs Cafรฉ in Naga College Foundation, Inc.,” outdid seven other papers and won the Best Research Paper award. The Best Presenter award, on the other hand, was given to Sophia Marie M. Penus of CCS in their paper, “Que-Sys: A Web-Based Client-Server Queueing Management System.”
Furthermore, present during the colloquium were college faculty and esteemed members of the academic council, particularly, Dr. Aida P. Osea, Vice President for Academic Affairs; Dr. Onward O. Ognita, Dean of the College of Teacher Education; and Dr. Fausto Romero, Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, who sat as members of the research panel.
