Setting the bar higher on educational innovation by providing certification programs, micro-credentialing courses, and the creation of an Open School Application, Naga College Foundation, Inc. (NCF) entered into a tripartite agreement with the East West International Educational Specialists (East West) and Silicon Valley HQ, Inc. (SVHQ) on March 15, 2023.
Mr. Mario C. Villanueva, NCF President, emphasized in his dialogue with the esteemed presidents and representatives of East West and SHVQ and present NCF stakeholders that the tripartite agreement is “NCFโ€™s another first” and the institutionโ€™s “leap into the future.”
Via Zoom, Mr. Christopher Peralta, SVHQ Chief Executive Officer (CEO), shared his concurrence to President Villanuevaโ€™s statement and considered that the partnerships at hand are “innovations in technology and services.” He then said that the key for businesses and institutions to maintain their power and sustain their existence is “innovation… [as well as] understanding the market and where it is going.”
Mr. Dennis Franco M. Layug, President and CEO of East West, expressed his excitement for what he called “history in the making,” as the partnerships will “create wonders for the students and faculty.”
As NCF continuously innovates, expands, and intensifies its curriculum and facilities, the institution has full cognizance of the necessity of prompting an Open School Application and numerous certificate programs for the students, faculty of instruction, alumni, and other stakeholders. Hence, the SHVQ and the East West were formally recognized by NCF as its providers for the NCF Open School App.
Meanwhile, the East West has offered to conduct certificate programs in finance, business, management, accountancy, marketing, economics, tourism, psychology, entrepreneurship, human resource management, engineering, information technology, and education for students and faculty of instruction.
The Institute for Innovation and Continuing Education (I-ICE), which will serve as the primary office to oversee the program implementation, is headed by Ms. Patricia Liana M. Ramo, who said that the partnerships are “significant growth in the homegrown certificate programs.” She is also looking forward to the opportunities that may open due to the triumphant tripartite partnership.
Dr. Aida P. Osea, Vice President for Academic Affairs, and Dr. Roger P. Villanueva, Chief Finance Officer, who were also present during the signing, prayed that the personnel in the academic division “cope with the changes that innovation brings to NCF” and that “all those plans and programs inclusive therein will benefit not only the students of NCF but also the alumni and students in the other part of the world,” respectively.
Furthermore, I-ICE, together with East West International, Inc., and KAIZEN Group International Holdings, Inc., successfully held an orientation pertaining to the certification programs and micro-credentialing courses with the graduating class of NCF on March 15, 2023, at the ST Auditorium.
